The Arab International Center for Communication and Solidarity salutes the governments of the “The Hague Group” for holding the Zionist entity accountable and calls on Arab, Islamic, and friendly governments to join the group.
Following the announcement of the formation of “The Hague Group” to hold the Zionist entity accountable for its crimes on January 31, 2025, by nine Southern countries—Belize, the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Cuba, the Republic of Honduras, Malaysia, Namibia, the Republic of Senegal, and the Republic of South Africa—the Arab International Center for Communication and Solidarity issued the following statement:
The announcement by Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Malaysia, Namibia, Senegal, and South Africa to form The Hague Group to hold the Zionist entity accountable for its crimes against humanity in Gaza and Palestine, including the crime of genocide, is a historic and significant event in the struggle against this racist entity, which has committed documented crimes since its establishment and continues to violate international law, principles of justice and humanity, the UN Charter, and the various UN resolutions.
This gathering reflects an increasing shift toward international alliances outside Western influence, but it faces significant diplomatic challenges, especially given the ongoing and unlimited support for the Zionist entity from the U.S. and the West.
At the Arab International Center for Communication and Solidarity, which initiated the “International Arab Forum for Justice for Palestine” in 2015 and many Arab and international meetings on the Palestinian cause, we warmly salute the stance of the countries forming this Southern group. We see it as a new expression of the awakening of global conscience toward the violations and crimes committed by the racist entity against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, as well as other Arab and Islamic nations. We also view this group as a nucleus for forming a global bloc that seeks to continue holding this entity and its criminals accountable, and to support the judicial paths followed by the International Court of Justice, which has recognized the ongoing genocide in Gaza and affirmed the illegitimacy of any Israeli presence in the occupied territories since 1967, as well as the International Criminal Court’s path, which has issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu, his former defense minister Gallant, and anyone else implicated in war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The Center calls on the Arab, Islamic, friendly, and human-rights-supporting countries to join this group to make it clear to the war criminals of genocide in Gaza and Palestine that they will not escape punishment. The global conscience, which has manifested in massive marches across continents, will continue to support the Palestinian people’s struggle for justice.
The Center also calls on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to seek to support this noble humanitarian group with all necessary means and to translate its political, doctrinal, and ethical orientations into action programs that isolate the entity and bring Israeli war criminals to international justice.
As for the countries supporting the Zionist entity, especially the U.S. administration, which today receives war criminal Netanyahu instead of arresting him in compliance with an international judicial decision, they are called upon to understand the meaning of this international humanitarian and ethical movement originating from the Global South in Latin America and Africa, and the potential for it to become, alongside other international organizations such as BRICS, Shanghai, and others, the nucleus of a new international system based on justice, respect for the rights of peoples, and the interests of states and their resources without any exploitation.
At the Arab International Center for Communication and Solidarity, and in cooperation with our comrades and friends in the International Arab Forum for Justice for Palestine and all international organizations supporting the Palestinian cause, we will strive to work at the global grassroots level to support the work of this group and to form a global front against Zionism, imperialism, fascism, and Nazism.
